Using PPC to Name Brand Your Site.

Most people think about PPC as a way to bring traffic to your site to purchase an item or a service. This is the main model used by the PPC market. However a successful low cost PPC campaign can be used in more of a Public Relations effort than an immediate sales approach.

Think about using a PPC campaign to bring people to your site that will interact with your site, and become long term customers and users. Most that use PPC are looking for the quick bang, the quick buck, and don’t consider the value of a long term customer. You may even think about adding some element to your site that is interactive, that the customer will continue to come back. Some examples might be a forum or a blog that allows comments. That way the customer is active and more inclined to come back to your site.

Having a customer or potential customer knowing your site as a source for your product, and interacting with your website is a great way to keep a long term customer. Think about it the next time you set up a PPC campaign and add one at a low rate just to bring in traffic as a PR and interactive value, rather than the quick sale. Getting people to your site, gaining their trust and comfortability from their participation, and then selling then products in the future can be more profitable than the one hit sales efforts.

You may thank yourself in the long run.
